1. Agreement to these terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the SkolBuzz mobile applications and the skolbuzz.com website (together, the "Service"), operated by SkolBuzz ("we", "our", "us") from Bangalore, Karnataka, India. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. What SkolBuzz is

SkolBuzz is a school bus tracking platform that connects parents, drivers, and school administrators in real time. Parents can see their child's bus on a live map and receive trip notifications; drivers share the bus location from their own device during trips; school administrators manage routes, stops, students, and trips from a dashboard.

SkolBuzz is currently provided free of charge to schools, parents, and drivers. We may introduce optional features or advertising in the future; if we do, we will update these Terms and our Privacy Policy first.

3. Accounts and eligibility

• Accounts are created by signing in with a mobile phone number verified by a one-time password (OTP). You are responsible for keeping your phone and SIM secure, since anyone with access to your number could access your account.
• The Service is intended for use by adults — parents and guardians, drivers, and school staff (18 years and older). Children do not use the app.
• Parent accounts are linked to children by the school. We rely on schools to link the correct phone numbers; if you see a child on your account who is not yours, contact your school and us immediately.
• You agree to provide accurate information and to use the Service only for its intended purpose.

4. Role of schools

Schools and transport agencies that adopt SkolBuzz enter and manage the data that makes the Service work: routes, stops, buses, drivers, student details, and parent phone numbers. By adding this information, a school confirms that it is authorised to do so — including having the necessary consent from parents or guardians for their own and their children's details to be used to operate the bus-tracking service.

Schools control their own data. Route assignments, student records, and parent links can be corrected or removed by the school's administrators at any time.

5. Drivers and road safety

The driver app is designed to need minimal interaction: start the trip, and the phone shares location automatically. Drivers must comply with all applicable road-safety and mobile-device laws, keep the device securely mounted, and never interact with the app while the vehicle is moving. Boarding and drop-off confirmations should only be recorded while the bus is safely stopped.

6. What the Service depends on — and what we don't promise

Live tracking depends on things partly outside our control: the driver's device, its GPS signal, its battery, and mobile network coverage along the route. We build for honesty — if a bus's location feed goes quiet, the app shows it as not live rather than guessing — but we cannot guarantee that tracking will be available, accurate, or uninterrupted at all times.

SkolBuzz is an information service, not a safety guarantee. It supplements — and never replaces — the school's own supervision arrangements and a parent's own judgement. Do not rely on the app as the sole means of ensuring a child's safe boarding, travel, or drop-off.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Access or attempt to access data about children, routes, or users you are not authorised to see;
• Use the Service to harass, stalk, or track any person other than in its intended school-transport context;
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service, probe its security, or attempt to bypass its access controls;
• Copy, resell, or commercially exploit the Service or its content without our written permission;
• Use the Service in violation of any applicable law.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules, and schools may unlink users from their routes at any time.

8. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains exactly what data we collect, why, how long we keep it, and your rights — including that live bus locations are deleted when a trip ends and that we do not sell personal data. It forms part of these Terms.

9. Intellectual property

The SkolBuzz name, logo, apps, website, and content are our property or that of our licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These Terms do not grant you any rights in them beyond what is needed to use the Service.

10. Changes, suspension, and discontinuation

We are an evolving product and may add, change, or remove features, or suspend or discontinue the Service (in whole or in part) at any time. Where a change materially reduces the Service, we will make reasonable efforts to notify schools in advance.

11. Limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, SkolBuzz shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from reliance on live-tracking information, GPS inaccuracy, network unavailability, or acts or omissions of schools, drivers, or other users. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under Indian law.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Bengaluru, Karnataka.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms as the Service evolves. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where required, notify users via the app. Continued use of the Service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
